Good bye

Today was the funeral. A sad day but the ceremony was lovely and filled with his unique spirit.

This is the only photo I took today and it is of the church ceiling. It is the biggest church in Iceland and it's beautiful.

Afterwards we went to the wake and there I randomly chatted with our former president, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, about feminism and equality. Vigdís was the first elected female president in the world, elected in 1980. We are quite proud of that fact.
