Brian Hills - Antique Dealer

A lovely day starting with a visit up Yeld Road to see my friend Keith How's exhibition at his home which is part of the really interesting Derbyshire Open Arts platform for artists.
I like Keith's work a lot as it's very abstract and when he focuses it on the Peak District is very focused and captures the emotion of the area extremely well.
Then on my way back I popped in to see Brian Hills at his antique gallery at the bottom of North Church Street.
Brian has been here in Bakewell for over 30 years but is leaving at the end of august and I find this extremely sad.
His business was one of the reasons we moved to Bakewell as it's something that you don't find in urban areas and functioned not just as a shop but also as a museum and art gallery.
Brian you will be sadly missed, big time.
