Blue Lagoon

Arriving at the Iceland international airport mid morning we headed to Blue Lagoon to freshen up before heading to Reykjavik. An utterly surreal way to start off a holiday, I spent most of my time in the lagoon just laying flat with my eyes closed and letting the water carry me along. The rather shiny industrial building in the back is a geothermal power station, I love Iceland.

In the early evening we went on a whale watching tour and saw plenty of porpoises and even a Minke Whale. Sunny skies, but it didn't last when the very short lived night came.
