Juvinile Magpie

A pair of magpies nested in the hedge of our neighbours garden and I think this is one of their offspring. It was sat at the top of the hedge preening.

I must have been tired, slept right through to 12 noon today! My car has thrown a hissy fit about being left alone last week, some sort of mystery electrical demons, the battery was flat, and it came back to life mostly when the breakdown chap hooked it up to his booster pack. Replacing the battery however has just made it more grumpy so it's off to the main smart dealer tomorrow for investigation and repair. (My credit card is whimpering already :( )
