No Fairies Here .....

..... more like giants:-) This is an art work in the gardens of Straloch, a beautiful Lutyens-style house about 7 miles from Pitlochry where an art exhibition called "Studios North at the Garden Studio" was held over this weekend.

Studios North represents seven local artists, sculptors, photographers and jewellery makers, some of whose individual studios we have visited on other occasions, but it was lovely to see examples of their work in one delightful setting. I couldn't resist a resin necklace, but did manage not to buy yet another horse print from my favourite local artist!

We drove on to Pitlochry, parked by the Festival Theatre and walked up to the Salmon Ladder on the River Tummel, just before Faskally Reservoir. A few fish jumping in the river, but the indoor viewing centre was closed so we didn't get a close look at any salmon that might have been coming through the ladder. The electronic counter registered only one fish all the time we were there, so we didn't miss much!

Sunshine and showers all day, but we managed to stay dry:-) Hope you did too!
