Drive-by

Up with the larks and on the road early which meant we flew down to sunny Nottingham this morning.

We were visiting my friend Em (with bump - not long now!) and Woody. It was so lovely to see them both and Audrey was excited exclaiming, "Em-ma house, Em-Ma house" on the way there. Audrey and I pictured en route from the car.

West Bridgford parks score high on Audrey's park-o-meter and she had a great time playing on the slides with Woody (who is natural with children and was born to be a Daddy!)

Lovely lunch at the new Carluccio's on Central Avenue and then home again via a house we were lusting after on Rightmove (the lusting stopped when we saw it!) Audrey slept two hours on the way back (wish she'd do that at home!)

A great day and although we're all shattered, it was well worth it - felt like we really had a full family day and it was great to see friends we normally feel so far away from.
