Rainy day in Cornwall

Busy day for first day of out hols!

A bit of essentials shopping first then an adventurous drive through the Cornish countryside through narrow lanes not on the map and crossing a ford in order to find a fabulous pub for lunch.

Dodging the rain, they squeezed us all (6 of us) on to a little table in the corner then presented us with the most amazing roast lunches I think I have ever had in a pub followed by chocolate fudge brownies with Cornish fudge and clotted cream.

We staggered out the pub and drove back to the holiday house before getting geared up for a walk across the golf course to polzeath beach where we enjoyed the pouring rain and built sandcastles, splashed in rock pools and generally all got soaked! Great fun :)

Plenty of people trying to surf too :)
