Late sun, after rain

The neighbour's washing line glistening in the last of the sun after today's torrential downpours.

I don't remember when the whole of Edinburgh was last quite so wet. Driving in from Lamancha to Ferry Rd via Tynecastle, there were great pools across roads, flash flood burns pouring down every slope and hill, and in Bruntsfield I saw water spouting up between paving stones.
