Early Bumblebee (I think)
Got home from work at about 5:30, having spent the day cooped up indoors when the weather was glorious outside. Feeling deprived of sunshine I went for a walk before dinner. I saw a bluish lacewing, a yellow and black cranefly, a little micro moth and a few different bees enjoying the flowers of hogweed, including this one which I believe is a worker individual of the Early Bumblebee species.
I am a complete novice to ID'ing bees, but it is something I am trying to get to grips with so if anyone thinks it to be another species then please say so! :-)
Hope all my fellow blippers have had a pleasant and relaxing Sunday.
