The Church of St Wistan, Wistow, Leicestershire
I was here this evening to support a friend's choir in singing two anthems at the memorial service to the late Sir Tim Brooks, formerly Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire.
He was a farming chap it seems, and very involved in county life. Lovely surroundings and an interesting church on the other side of the road from The House. Georgian in design with box pews. I spied a 'Green Man' in the ironwork of the screen separating the choir from the altar. A strange mix of Anglican and Catholic.
