The Jacobite
Blending into the rugged Scottish landscape, ‘The Jacobite’ steam engine (aka The Lancashire Fusilier) chugs its way sedately through Glen Finnan en route from Fort William to Mallaig. The forty-two mile journey, presumably to the joy of the passengers who take this train both for the steam experience and the wonderful scenery, takes a leisurely two hours and ten minutes. It would have been nice to have captured the engine in full steam as it made its way along this scenic route, but sadly that just didn’t happen today.
This marks the end of a wonderfully scenic holiday. Hope to catch up with you all tomorrow
