Cathartic

This butcher's block is the favourite piece of furniture I've done so far. Solid rimu. Really solid; it's so heavy I struggle to lift the bugger by myself. Made from old studs taken from our place at Lincoln. The end result was even better, once I'd oiled it.

It is also what we used to sign our marriage certificate on. This was Monday, and the wedding's Friday, and I had a blistering number of coats of oil to go.

I like working with wood, though. Puts things into perspective.
