New Best Tool
I don't know why they don't tell us about this stuff right at the beginning. You know, a booklet when you're starting out on you long DIY road to success. Hands free of scars and brain likewise unmarred with the result of too many long nights; too many wrong measurements. As Sam says, "my re-cuts are always perfect".
Getting ready to grind out the foundation cracks on our place, I stocked up on 4" masonry discs then noticed a diamond masonry blade. Looked completely unimpressive, but wasn't. Experimentation is the way forward, they say.
After using it to cut out all these cracks in the whole foundation, plus two paths, it's showing no signs of slowing down and all those masonry discs I bought gather dust in their box. Why do they even sell those things? It would've taken fifty of them to do the same job.
There should be someone standing by the masonry disc display. Someone who looks a bit like Yoda. "Ooooh, cutting concrete are you? Yes! Struggle with these you will, yes! Take many hours to complete, yes, yes it will. Hmmmm!"
Then he takes you over to another, half-hidden display. "Use these you should, yes! Mmmm, heh, heh, heh." He would chuckle.
The path for a DIY Jedi is long and beset with much darkness. Much confusion. And far too many wasted grinding discs.
