Pier 39

Started off the day with a visit to the Rock. As we were up early we took the extra time to walk the 2 miles to the pier from the hotel, shame we didn't realise the first section was all uphill!!! Certainly got the heart rate going this morning!
We've been really lucky with weather todAy gorgeously warm and sunny..although the wind over on Alcatraz bought the temperature down.
Really interesting to see and hear the history of The Rock.
Afterward we wandered into Pier 39...love this place! Was absolutely rammed as we have just realised its Memorial Day weekend! But great atmosphere. We sat in the sun and did some California wine tasting, watched the seals bathing and lazing then headed for some lunch. I could've sat and watched the seals for hours just busy sat there doing nothing being fat and lazy without a care..that's the life!
Then this evening took the Chevy out for a cruise down to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Awesome day seeing some fantastic sights, and enjoying the glorious weather. Although I have 1 burnt shoulder and Dane has a burnt neck and feet!!!
