Kinkaku (The Golden Pavilion)

Kinkaku is a shariden (Buddhist hall containing relics of Buddah). The pavilion is part of a temple, formally called Rokuon-ji temple located in the North West quarter of Kyoto.
I visited it today and nearly submerged under the deluge of schoolchildren visiting the site as part of their school curriculum.
