Fighting the good fight

Bloody typical, just when you feel all motivated and ready to face the new year, you get a stinking cold!

The good news: this Vick's First Defence stuff actually works so I went straight for it as soon as I started feeling ill.

The bad news they don't tell you in the ad: it's worse than having a cold. Three squirts up each nostril four times a day, it stings your eyes and nose then runs down your throat, and it tastes utterly disgusting.

The worst part? As it helpfully says on the bottle, nasal discharge is a normal side effect. White nasal discharge.

I'm ready for my cold now!!
