Variegated Maple

This is a closeup of the leaves on one of our variegated maple trees. We have two of them and they give a nice contrast to the area.

Beautiful absolutely gorgeous day! Blue sky, warm, sun, perfect. We went to my brother's house for a picnic to spend time with his youngest son who is in the Army. He's currently spending a month at West Point teaching cadets after his deployment to Afghanistan and West Point is only about 100 miles from their home. We never know for sure when he will be able to come home for a visit, so it's worthy of a family picnic. He is doing very well, stationed in Georgia, and doesn't have any idea if there will be any more deployments in his future. We have to wait and see.
