More work to do getting the felt on the roof of the playhouse and finishing it off. Frustratingly not enough felt was supplied (not if you wanted any kind of overlap at all) so we had to use a separate piece we had in the garage from doing the chicken house which of course was not the same colour. Grr! No time to go out and get any more as heavy rain forecast for this afternoon and we wanted to get it water tight so will have to re-do at a later date as it looks crap. We may put some cedar shingles on it as the side of the roof is really visible from the house and the felt looks ugly.

Whilst we were spending a bit of time in that part of the garden we made a mental list of lots of other jobs that need doing. Tick one thing off the list and another three things get added. (Not that I am allowed lists any more!)

I made it down to the yard for a drizzly but nice ride round the reservoir before the rain really set in this afternoon. Its set to rain for most of the week (of course because it is half term) so the playhouse has to stay this awful orange colour until we can get some dry days to paint it. Have a passionate dislike of orange stained wood. Don't think I can bear it for too long!!

Tobes and Eva love it already. Hopefully they will get many years out of it :0)
