Listened to an interesting talk given by a colleague at the library. She was talking about search engines and how they influence the information we receive when looking for information on a topic.

They've recently introduced a new search engine at the library that can scan all of the national and international academic databases in a few seconds.

Bit different from the catalogue cards we had to wade through when I was a student!
