Loweswater

First day of the Lakes with Dad and a nice gentle walk around the south side of Loweswater, through Holme Wood and then back over Burnbank Fell and around the base of Carling Knott before heading back to the car - perfect to get the legs ready for a more hardy walk the next day. It also gave us a preview of the stunning weather that was awaiting us - no waterproofs needed for the entire trip! While we were on the side of Burnbank we stopped so Dad could give Mum a call at home from the same bench they rested on when they did the walk last year.
