The best day

We had a fabulous day today because we didn't end up where we were supposed to be going.

The intended destination was Culzean Castle.
However, we were waylaid by giant cave spiders at Dundonald Castle.
Fascinated by the Burns Museum in Alloway.
Captivated by Burns House.
Delighted by the stained glass windows in the Auld Kirk.
Enchanted by Brig o'Doon.
Entertained by some musicians (that rendition of Auld Lang Syne was beautiful).
And finally, completely bowled over by these gorgeous owls in the grounds of Burns Museum.

What a fantastic museum it is. Original, innovative, creative...just brilliant.

Oh and we're all completely stuffed with sausage rolls and cupcakes.

10/10 day.
