Alma Mater
We ventured into Dublin city centre on the 28th, braving the cold - it was really very cold - and generally wandered about.
This is a shot of the front of Trinity College where I studied Engineering and my mother still teaches. She went back to restart her Ph.D when I was six years old and when the time rolled around for me to graduate in 2002 I'd been knocking about the university for 16 years!
A number of years ago they pretty much sandblasted the buildings shown here to clean them as they had turned very black due to coal smoke prior to the ban on burning non-smokeless fuels.
Finally, 8 years after I left, I no longer visit the campus very relieved that I don't have an exam to do ;-)
