Rainy Day Crow

It's MonoMonday and the theme is weather. Paladian is this week's host. Since it is raining solidly today, I thought I'd meander around the neighborhood and find some nifty raindrop photos. Well, er, not exactly. Some not so nifty ones, yes. But nifty, no such luck. Then the crows offered me an alternative. I've noticed that all of the corvids, crows and jays, don't seem to have very much lanolin or whatever it is in their feathers that keeps the rain off. After standing in the rain awhile, they begin to look like wet dogs. Their feathers mat up and get soggy looking. Case in point, this fellow here. He didn't seem to mind the rain but got soaking wet as he nibbled on some birdseed mix in the rain. Perfect subject for a rainy Mono Monday.
