Season of Light

There is a light festival called Season of Light (Valon vuodenaika) going on in Helsinki. Two monumental buildings in the city are lighted with changing colours, the other one is Parliament House and the one in this picture is Cathedral.

I went to see the Parliament House show tonight. It looked lovely and I almost posted a shot with Finnish national colours, blue on the walls and white on the pillars. tarkastaja got a good picture of it with flaming red, mine was with more conventional angle.

I am going to see the show on Cathedral tomorrow but this is the light show of the nature this afternoon, when zooming from Tähtitorninmäki (Observatory Hill) a little before sunset.
