Bandstand Day....no more?

Last Saturday was to have been Bandstand Day in The George Allan Park, Strathaven.

A day of music, drama and whatever, where local artistes could strut their stuff and entertain young and old, families, day trippers and others.

The Bandstand Day was a great idea, well supported in its inaugural year and would have raised much needed funds for charity.

Unfortunately the event is now on indefinite hold due to the dangerous condition of the neglected structure.
