A Long Couple of Days
Lots of matches over the two days of the State Volleyball Tournament takes a toll on those who spend most of each match played on the court. Every chance is taken to catch a few winks, like when this mother (on the left, a Golden player) and her daughter (on the right, a Master player) travel between venues prior to the start of playoffs. Both teams advanced in their respective divisions and both ultimately finished in second place. This was the same position as last year and both teams lost in the final match to the same team as last year. Zihuatanejo is going to have to find a way to convince some taller players to relocated as the champion Acapulco teams are loaded with them. Any woman over age 30 who is 5'10" or better (I'm being greedy, I think our tallest player is barely 5'8") who wants to live in a beautiful tropical location and play a little volleyball is more than welcome.
This entry catches me up, so if you have time visit the past two day's back blips.
