Green fields

Change of plan this morning, since my friend heard in the night that her mother has had been taken ill so she had to arrange to go home rather than come north with me. Sad end to the weekend...
I dropped her at the station and headed off up the road. In contrast to the last two days, had blue sky and sunshine all the way home-should have taken the roof down but didn't trust it to stay nice!
Struck by how beautiful the countryside was throughout the journey (no wonder it's so green!), and enjoyed the drive....all went very smoothly. Home and heard about the marathon from a very tired and sore S!
