At night

The incandescent lights in the streets of Rome give the city a warm ambiance at night.

There are pretty Piazzas, quaint lovely corridors, magnificent buildings rich in history wherever we go. Everything was photogenic it was hard to pick a good picture.

Today we literally ate all the way through Rome. We began by spending the day cooking with an Italian family, making fresh fettuccine, gnocchi, pesto etc from scratch, followed by learning and tasting (ie drinking...) olive oils.

And when we thought we couldn't eat any more, we started a food tour in another part of town, hopping from one restaurant to the next, covering at least 5 or 6 restaurants, pizzeria, cafe, bakery and gelato place. We filled our already full tummies with more great food, while we learned about the history of the various sites that punctuated our food stops.

Going to bed with a full tummy isn't a good idea but we have no choice, for tomorrow is going to be another early morning.
