Memorial Day

It was a public holiday for Memorial Day in New York today, the weather was gorgeous and the city was mobbed.

I did two new things- walked over the Brooklyn bridge and went to the 9/11 memorial fountains, which was really moving.

I also did some old things, I went back to where my old apartment block is (surprised to see it still standing with all the gentrification going on in the area) and ate two slices of my favourite $1 pizza. Ok it's no Grimaldi's but it's $1, fresh and each slice is the bigger than my face. You think quantity over quality would wear off after a week...
