Fountain of Waste

Blips are not always necessarily positive and this is the wanton waste that confronted me as I left BG tonight. For the third time in recent memory the bank next door has a broken sprinkler head but what makes this scene so much more disturbing is the fact that we have just had 2 days when it has rained consistently. The picture does not really convey just how much water is being wasted here but the growing river in the path is the result of 2 minutes of this activity. Despite the fact that sprinklers really don't need to be on for another week, this will probably account for a few thousand gallons all on its own. There is nothing we can do about it until tomorrow and last time it took them 3 days to repair it!
