Lindfield Pond

One of the prettiest villages in East Sussex, Lindfield, was the destination for our camera group, The Flashers. Lindfield means 'open land with lime trees' and although there are lots of lime trees the open land has long gone. This is their natural spring-fed pond where we started our walk and it is found at the south end of the High Street. This street follows an ancient north-south track that has existed for thousands of years, long before the Romans built a major road.
Nowadays its a very pretty village with some gorgeous (and probably very expensive) houses on either side of the High Street.
