How to Knit A Bike
Take one very creative textiles artist called Cassandra and place in a literary setting (Bronte Parsonage in Haworth).
Add a sprinkling of enthusiastic Yorkshire knitters plus a couple of incomers.
Provide funding from the Yorkshire Festival, in cahoots with Le Grand Depart.
Throw in a box of wool and needles.
Tip in more than a soupcon of imagination
Stir for several hours
The result: A woolly bike with a landscape and literary theme befitting the home of the Bronte Sisters. A great day in excellent company. Our bike will be completed by more knitters and Cassandra in the second session later this week. My contribution is the purple book you can see on the panier in my blip.
