Silver Surfer?

There was a report in the news this morning that a group is suggesting that money should be used to encourage older people to use the internet.
By doing this, they could keep in contact with friends and relatives.
It seems like a great idea to me .
But
I tried to convince an older friend that he should invest in the internet. I used the argument that since he isn't able to go out into the world much, the world could come to him through the net.
It didn't work.
However, I'm not sure how a guy on a board getting wet will help!!!
It has to be this type of music.
