Three's a crowd

I don't know what's going on here, but it involves three insects, and I fear the bee is not coming out on top. Go large to see the tiny spider, which I couldn't see at all when I took the photo -- I just wondered why the bee wasn't moving. Very strange.

Update: thanks to ceridwen, I can now say it's a crab spider, a venomous spider that does not make webs but camouflages itself on flowers to attack visiting insects.
