Painshill Park
The Perspective Photography meetup group was on an outing to Painshill Park today, to see an event run by the Napoleonic Association. The turnout was fantastic, as was the day! Amongst those that attended were fellow blippers, By the Way and 55Daisies.
The re enactment groups always put on a good show. It was one of the smaller events but they still had their living camp, British and French soldiers, cavaliers on horseback and lots of banging from the cannons and guns.
The day was very enjoyable and I believe we all came home with more images than we could deal with. I could have given you army or camp scenes but I like this image which was taken when they took the children from the audience and did some drilling with wooden arms. For some reason the image of children in a war scene seemed to have more impact in black and white.
The photographic group is growing and now boasts 95 members. If you'd like to join us or see what our group is doing you're always welcome. Have a look at the meetup page. There are also plenty more images from the event from group members as well.
