Garden Spider Bomb!

This baby is ready to explode! Along with two others I found in the garden this afternoon.

Look large if you want to see one looking back at you - but please excuse the quality of the shot. I was using my macro lens but the wind was making the whole spider nest jiggle about a bit.

On my lakeside walk this morning I was really pleased to see that the arctic tern pair had returned for their annual stopover. They'll be here for a couple of weeks and then continue on to their final destination wherever that is?
