Dippin'

When the water looks this inviting you just have to dive in. The Fairy Pools in Glen Brittle are rightly renowned, but busy. These pools were, if anything, more numerous, and totally devoid of any other people. Not a soul. We spotted this pool on the way up, stripping off and having a dip.

So good was that swim, in fact, that we had another dip in an even better, bigger, deeper pool we found further up on the downwards return.

As if that wasn't enough there were even a couple of Golden Eagles in the air as we had lunch, and cuckoos buzzing about (meaning we've seen some every day so far this year).
