Orchid

This is an orchid that was given to me about five years ago by the members of a shooting party.

They came to stay for three nights twice a year for dinner bed and breakfast. Most of them would go off shooting for the day, but some of the wives would go to Cedar Falls for a few therapies or to Dulverton for some retail therapy.

The house was always full of laughter on these occasions. They gave us several gifts over the year, but this one caught my eye today. This is the fourth time it has flowered for us.

I rather like it displayed with Great Grandma's blue and white tea service.
