Numpty

Not a beautiful photo but an excellent illustration of me not quite getting around to things that I've been meaning to do for ages...

The photo shows the nail which has apparently been embedded in my shoe for goodness knows how long. I kept getting random stabbing pains in my heel - although weirdly not all the time - and I had many cursory glances at my shoe to see if I could see what was causing it but to no avail.

In my mind I started to imagine that there was a tiny, sharp toothed beastie just running out now and then from his hiding spot to bite my foot (nb. realise that this makes me sound a little mad but I think it could also be the sign of extensive sleep deprivation). Today, I finally got round to making a proper effort to find the little critter and have now removed the offending, alarmingly sharp and slightly rusty nail from the sole of my shoe. Happy days for my feet!
