Deep, Crisp and Even (as in Even more B****y Snow)
Well the weather forecasters got it right for a change but I wish they hadn't.
It started snowing at 7.30 yesterday evening and has barely stopped since. Awoke to about 5 or 6 inches of the stuff (that's about 12 - 15 cm for our international friends) and so yet again I could not get to work.
Usually when I leave for work at 7.00am there are about 6 or so other cars leaving around the same time. Today the first car I saw go down my road was at 11.00 am and that was a 4x4 offroader as were the other half a dozen that attempted the journey today.
This photo is taken just outside my house looking up the hill. Although it was taken from the middle of a road junction you would never know it were it not for the road name sign as it was virtually impossible to tell where the roads or pavements started or finished. It was still snowing lightly when I took this but there is a forecast for yet more heavy snow this evening and for the coming few days - well isn't that nice!
