Not as easy a walk as I expected today. Wanted to keep it level (a few twinges from the knee yesterday) and fancied a change of scenery so drove to Borrowdale.

First there were the stepping stones and after passing the Youth Hostel I came upon this slab with a chain to aid the crossing (used it one way but not the other). After that was a short but very awkward craggy section - not what my knee wanted!

I got the last space in a lakeshore car park on the way back to Keswick and enjoyed another hour wandering and sitting by Derwentwater in the sunshine.
