A day at the beach

Today we want to one of the famous beaches of Normandy. There where giant rock formations made by the ocean and with every wave the beach would echo with a cracking sound of the rocks banging into each other. We walked to a section where German soldiers had a hidden bunker where you could get trapped where the tide came in. We where with Sofia's little cousin who is really shy, but she warmed up to me quickly. My favorite part was giving her a ride on my shoulders so she didn't fall, she is so precious and we picked on each other for the rest of the day. After this we had dinner at Sofia's other grandparents house where Sofia's dad spoke gibberish at me and we both pretended to understand each other to convince Sofia's uncle he could speak English. It was sooo funny. They want to show me a bunker they had built for hunting for a guys night out where I'm sure there will be plenty of drinking. This trip has already been amazing and I'm so happy Sofia's family welcomed me in with open arms. More to come soon!
