Discotites
We've all seen stalactites, now it's time for a personal invention of mine: discotites :P
I saw these stalactites hanging from the gutter of a no-longer used barn, and wanted to photograph them in an interesting way. So I went out with a flashlight, a pair of 3D-glasses and a case of empty beer bottles (I should really buy a tripod).
The shutter-time was 13 seconds, and in that time I managed to shine the flashlight through the red and the blue side.
It took me some time in the freezing cold and eventhough I'm not completely satisfied with the result, I was satisfied enough to get back into a warm living room! ;)
What isn't so clear from this image, however, is that the gutter in this section is bent through. If you look closely, you can even see that there are stalactites coming from the roof into the gutter, keeping the gutter in position!
