Stokksundet Pass
Firstly thanks to everyone who commented, starred and favourited my blip yesterday....it hit the spotlight and that was a first for me so very much appreciated folks!
It has been another gorgeous day weather wise and I have been spoiled for chice for what to blip...but have chosen this one because it gives such a very typical view of all the many tiny houses and small settlements that cling to the craggy rocks at the edges of each inlet and fjord The ferry boats are their lifeline. It looks so beautiful today in this bright sunlight,,,,but I keep imagining how hard life muct be here in the winter when it is dark at 2.30pm and everywhere is ice and snow !
I also chose this one because I had plenty of chilled time on deck today to play around with the polarisers and filters I have brought...and I think on this one the colours and clarity came out the way I wanted!!! Finding it very hard to judge exposure in bright sunlight on so much sea....still I'm not complaining!
Cross the Arctic Circle early tomorrow and I will be getting off this ferry onto a much smaller catamaran type thing to get more deeply into the fjords and near to one of the biggest glacier in Norway. Then will catch this ferry back up again further up North in the evening. So tomorrow will be hectic but exciting I hope.
