Oslo - Bergen
A relaxed start to the day...we just had to pack and head to the train station for our midday connection. Oslo has been great...very expensive but great and worthy of a return visit.
I have been having a dilemma this past couple of days though....each day, so many pics...how to pick one? I guess this is a relatively common problem for seasoned blippers. The other blip related problem is the time spent taking all these pics....and how much of other 'goings on' I miss by looking at a screen trying to capture a moment or trying to be clever.
This blip/life balance has been tested here in Norway. I have a serious case of country envy.
So the epic train journey from Oslo to Bergen....The scenery has been spectacular. So green and under developed - villages surrounded by natural open space, so many trees and rivers... white water tumbling down mountain sides...just jaw dropping beauty. As you climb into the mountains the scenery changes to become rocky, boulder strewn and interspersed with snow until at the highest point there are ice lakes and total snow coverage. It is amazing.
The only problem with this seven hour train journey is whichever of the pics I use will not do it justice.
