New and Old
Today we opened the box of our shiny new Nikon D5000 camera. Matthew and I huddled over it like a new baby and were gently cradling it with the same care and attention. Our 4th child has arrived and we couldn't be more excited about it.
The day has been spent fiddling with buttons, reading manuals and shooting random objects. Our children have been subjected to a strange black tube in their faces most of the day and the most overused phrase of the day has definitely been 'look at me'.
Another housebound day demanded lots of child friendly activities, for which Matthew and I found play dough the most fun. Matthew's photo of my 'man' which was supposed to resemble him has been selected as the shot of the day which reminds me of days gone by ... Tony Hart and beloved Morph, in a funny sort of way this site reminds me of 'the gallery' that used to feature on the programme, a selection of images portraying the lives and thoughts of those who created them. I remember sending my picture and watching every week and wishing it would appear, it never did, at least not when I was watching!
Children's television is so complex now, so many different channels and choices to make, as much as I appreciate the convenience and variety it brings, I do wish sometimes life for our little ones could be a little more simplistic.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy today's blip, Matthew and I will be fighting over the camera tomorrow so watch this space ...
