Robin Hood and his men,

This is one of the group of fine bronze statues outside Nottingham Castle which depict scenes from the life of Robin Hood.
This one shows him resting together with Friar Tuck and Will Scarlett after a hard day in the office!
The statues and some associated wall plaques in bronze were presented to the city by Philip Clay to commemorate the visit of Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip on 29th June 1949 for Nottingham's quincentenary celebrations.
