Orkney Day 5

Our last full day on Orkney and was it a case of ....... leave the best till last ..... ?
yes that's just how it was. ... as I shared it with Poppy. We went for walks with 'Ollie' round the cliffs I'd seen so often on Blip together with other familiar sites Poppy has shared with us too. Then she took me to a beautiful long white sandy beach where we saw ..... Seals, Oyster Catchers and a Sandpiper too; we took photos (lots), did some 'shell seeking' and never ran out of conversation. Poppy and her husband came for supper with us. We had a lovely last evening and it was very nice to be able to repay some of their most generous and very kind hospitality.

My return visit to the Highlands of Scotland and our trip to Orkney have been the best Birthday present ever.

Tomorrow we're back on the ferry to Gill's Bay and down the West coast for our first stop at Loch Maree.
