Roseate Terns

Was hoping to get to the roseate tern colony on Rockabill tonight but the seas were too rough to take a chance with the rib. Instead I got myself a coffee and sat in welcome isolation at the back of the pier watching the various activities of a busy coastal town with yachts, canoes, ribs and rowers and sups safely ensconced inside the breakwater while the trawlers, in need of work, headed beyond the safe zone....

I was rewarded with a nice sunset though not as magnificent as last night's.....just saying
