Gala Bingo!!
A Full House? - at four o'clock in the morning - don't think so!
But it WAS the right time to set up the tripod in the middle of the road on one of Salisbury's busiest junctions - this is always jammed packed with traffic including double-deckered buses during 'normal' hours. I wanted to make use of the brief respite in the drizzle and the glossy sheen from the moisture on the road surfaces.
Yes, it does look as if the roads run adjacent to each other but they are in fact 90 degrees apart, the unmistakable fisheye lens unashamedly playing all its tricks at once. The Samyang does well with all the varying light sources and only suffered a few blobby flare bits, which I mostly removed.
The "Unit" is a local youth centre base where they meet up and where a part-time co-ordinator is heavily involved with liaising with music and art events and activities. I have photographed many a live music event where the Unit were the fundraising recipients. Somehow rather nice contrast to how the youth meet in the lee of an leisure activity more usually associated with the older generation.
The drizzle returned soon after. Another miserable day forecast - hope this colourful Blip cheers you up a bit!
Lens is Samyang 8mm f3.5
